Nano Ceramic, Ceramic, Carbon and Dyed Window Film
A few years ago, we searched extensively for a premium window tint option for our customers. After thorough research and testing, we chose Autobahn Window Films, a company known for its innovative approach and strong reputation in ceramic window film technology.
Ceramic i3, Autobahn’s top of the line multi layer nano ceramic film is the best of the best films you can buy. Ceramic i3 represents the perfect blend of performance, durability, and clarity. Ceramic i3 was created
using the latest in innovation in Nano-Ceramic technology. Ceramic i3 window tint technology provides the best in heat rejection, color, and crystal clear optics. It also is backed by Autobahn’s lifetime No-Hassle Warranty which includes Transferrable and No Fault warranty options.
Who is Autobahn Ceramic i3 made for? i3 is for people that are looking for more than just dark windows. It performs better than a metalized film but won’t interfere with radio signals or electronics. Of course, the top of the line heat rejection and reduced glare can’t be matched.
Black Ceramic, Autobahn’s “standard” ceramic film features many of the benefits of Ceramic i3 but with slightly lower heat rejection specifications. It is a single layer ceramic film. In a good / better / best scenario it slides solidly into the better category. It’s far superior to a Carbon film yet less expensive than the Ceramic i3. Black Ceramic features up to 63% TSER (compared to 71% for Ceramic i3) and Infrared rejection of 60% (compared to 93% for Ceramic i3). It carries the same Autobahn lifetime No-Hassle Warranty which includes Transferrable and No Fault warranty options.
Our Suntek Carbon series film offers a limited lifetime warranty that is good throughout the USA at any authorized Suntek dealer. Carbon film
offer a basic level of heat rejection and scratch resistance. Clarity is good and the charcoal colors look good on almost all vehicles on the road. The warranty covers fading, color change, peeling / adhesive failure, bubbling, etc. Suntek Carbon features up to 46% TSER (compared to 63% for Black Ceramic and 71% for Ceramic i3). We’ve used the Carbon film for years and it’s a very good film.
Do we offer a cheaper film than Carbon? Thankfully, NO! Generally speaking, window tint is divided into 5 levels or qualities of film. A level five film, like our Autobahn Ceramic i3 which is a multi layer nano ceramic film, is the best of the best. In fact, many other brands don’t even offer anything to compare it to. A level 4 film, like our Autobahn Black Ceramic, is a single layer ceramic film with very good specifications. A level three film, like our Suntek Carbon is a very good film with great cosmetics but without the highest level of heat rejection and clarity. Level five, four and three films have proven track records backed by a manufacturer with proven service and lifetime warranties. Anything below level three is asking for problems. A level two film is a dyed film and only offers a warranty of 2 to 5 years. It is not color stable thus it will fade, turn purple, bubble and experience other various problem. Sweet Sounds will never (NEVER!) offer a level two film. It’s only slightly better than cheap junk! And speaking of cheap junk, a level one film is a dyed film with a very short warranty (less than a year), if any warranty at all. A level one tint will turn purple, fade, peel, bubble and is overall terrible film. It’s only sold because it’s cheap. Sweet Sounds will never (NEVER!) offer a level one film as it’s trash. Unscrupulous shops will often sell these films and leave you to deal with the problems they cause in the future. Cars, Trucks, SUV’s, Wagons and Vans
Yes! We tint them all. As you can see in the gallery above, we specialize in American, Asian and European vehicles. From Audi & BMW to Ford and Toyota, we’re comfortable and experienced with them all. With that said, any vehicle more than 10 to 20 years old, or any high mileage vehicle, should be brought in for prior inspection. Over time, gaskets and felt strips tend to wear out which can affect the quality and longevity of the film being applied. We do our best to be up front with the expected results before starting on your vehicle. Of course, if you have a brand new vehicle, having it tinted as soon as possible after purchase is the most ideal circumstance.
Do you tint ATV’s? Classic Cars? Buses? RV’s? Farm Tractor windows?
Yes, of course! 
With that said, each of these vehicles present a unique set of circumstances and thus requires inspection by our tint technician before we can quote any prices. In some cases, we’ll suggest removing the windows from the vehicle, especially on farm tractors or on classic cars going through a restoration and bringing just the glass in to be tinted. Other times, like for most ATV’s, we will tint them as mounted on the vehicle. There’s a number of factors that go into our recommendations and as such, it’s best to stop by the store or give us a call, 507-345-8863.
