One of our great clients brought us a brand-new 2016 Toyota Corolla with a manual transmission and a push-button starting system. He originally had another shop attempt to install a remote car starter, but after a week of constant failures, he gave up on them and had them remove it. After a little research, he found the experts at Sweet Sounds were the better choice to have a remote car starter installed on this kind of vehicle. After a little discussion with the client, we got right to work.
We found the remnants of a leftover remote start that the previous shop had attempted to install. We cleaned up the mess that they left behind and properly installed a Compustar Pro T11, also known as a RF- P2wT11-SS Remote Car Starter system. As you can see in the video, interfacing a remote start with a manual transmission vehicle is a little different from doing so with an automatic transmission. On top of that, since this vehicle has a push-button starting system, we had to take extra precautions to make sure the client doesn’t accidentally lock himself out of the vehicle.
