What is The Coats for Kids Promotion?
Coats for Kids was started by a fellow mobile electronics retailer in Pennsylvania.
With over a decade of success, they shared their concept with like-minded retailers around the country. If you purchase and pay for a new remote car starter between November 1 and Thanksgiving (November 23, 2023) and bring in a new or gently used children’s coat, we will discount your starter purchase by up to $100.
We gather the coats here at Sweet Sounds and then deliver them to local charities to distribute to families who need a little extra help. If you have children, you know just how fast they outgrow their clothes.
Why Do We Run This Promotion?
Sweet Sounds is celebrating our 30th year in business in the Mankato area this year! And for the past 30 years our community has been very good to us. We wanted to give back and when we started to research the promotion a few years ago, we were shocked to find out that too many families in Minnesota live in poverty. Here in the Mankato area, that rate blooms to even larger. Frustrated with that information, we knew that this program would serve those who could use it best.
Over the past seven years, we’ve donated hundreds and hundreds of coats worth thousands upon thousands of dollars to local charities. The coats are distributed to local families for free. We know that your generosity has helped many local children have a much more comfortable winter.
How Does the Program Work?
Come to Sweet Sounds between November 1st and 22nd, 2023, and purchase a new remote starter for your car, truck or SUV.
We will discount the purchase of a Compustar Pro R3-SS two way remote start by $100! The Pro R3-SS is one of our most popular remote starts of all time!
Or get a $50 discount on a Compustar Pro T13, Pro R5, Pro G15-SS, Prime 2wG15, Prime 2wR3 or a $25 discount on a Compustar DRX1 Drone Mobile LTE or Pro 1wX remote start.
If you prefer to have the system installed later in the season, we ask that it be paid for in full before Thanksgiving.
We will be happy to accept purchases over the phone (507-345-8863) to qualify for the promotion, but the coat must be dropped off before Thanksgiving for the discount to be valid (so we can hand them out before it gets any colder!). The Coats for Kids promotion can’t be combined with any other offers, discounts or sale prices. We respectfully reserve the right to approve the suitability of the coat to receive the discount. Unfortunately, we can’t make any exceptions to these guidelines.
