Tunes on the Water
No trip to the lake is complete without some of your favorite tunes along for the ride. Whether you fish, waterski, wakeboard or drop anchor in a cove just to hang out with friends onboard, Sweet Sounds can professionally install a marine-grade audio system to meet your needs and stand up to the elements.
Designed for Boating
Many audio systems in boats are really just car audio products installed in a marine environment. At Sweet Sounds, we create marine audio systems for all types of boats and boaters. We can upgrade your existing equipment, we can install an audio system where one does not currently exist in the boat, or we can perform a combination of upgrades and new equipment installation. Whatever your boat has (or lacks) in audio, we have solutions.
We take the time to select electronics and speakers intended for the marine environment for greater performance and durability. Many of our radios, control keypads and speakers are IPX certified for resistance to water intrusion. Many of the products also have excellent UV resistance to avoid damage from sun exposure. Add to all of it that we design the audio system in your boat to sound great in the ways that you enjoy the water, whether it’s wake board tower speakers on a ski boat or multi-speaker layouts on larger boats with separate passenger spaces throughout. We want every part of the boat to sound great, not just one or two seats. This is why our extensive experience in outfitting recreational boats with sound systems ensures you’ll have a great marine audio system.
Marine Audio Installation Details Matter
Installation processes are first class at Sweet Sounds. We do not allow shortcuts or inferior work to be done on your boat. Here are some examples of marine-grade installation procedures that are part of our professional services:
- Every electrical connection is soldered and insulated to be corrosion resistant.
- Every fastener used to mount equipment in your boat is stainless steel.
- We use marine-grade vinyl and carpet for high-traffic or UV exposed upholstered surfaces.
- We opt to use fiberglass and marine-grade plastics for many of our fabricated enclosures and parts.
- Where any wood is used, it’s sealed with polyester resin to ensure no moisture degradation.
- We don’t cut speaker holes with a saw blade; instead router bits and templates are used to create precision speaker openings to fit and seal the speaker tightly.
- We use grommets when running wires into and out of wake board towers.
- Visit our Custom Fabrication page to learn more about our creative fabrication services.
We are very proud of our marine audio installations and we’re happy to show you examples of our work, either at our facility or at a nearby lake.
Lighting Makes It Complete
We also offer a wide variety of marine-grade LED lighting enhancements for your boat or personal watercraft. This adds an element of safety as well as style. Add interior lighting to help see onboard in the dark. Add exterior marker or spot lighting to make your boat more visible to others. We can even create club-style lighting that changes colors with the sound of the audio system for a unique experience while docked. Our team designs and installs the lighting enhancements in your boat with the same care and precision as their audio installations. See our Lighting page for more information about what we offer.
