Drive Safe with Sweet Sounds
Driver safety products are an important category at Sweet Sounds. We offer many solutions to enhance driver awareness and reduce the probability of accidents, either with other drivers on the road or pedestrians. From backup cameras and reverse sensors to lane departure warning systems and Bluetooth hands-free systems, we have solutions to make your drive time safer.
Backup Cameras and Sensors
We install both sensors and cameras to aid in your awareness while backing up. There are several camera options depending on your vehicle’s year, make and model and you can view the image automatically while the vehicle is in reverse. Options for viewing include an existing in-dash screen or on one of our upgraded in-dash multimedia radios. We can also install a replacement rear view mirror that allows you to view the reverse camera image without making changes to your in-dash equipment. Several of our camera and screen systems also provide visual indicator lines to help gauge your distance from obstructions.
For backup sensor systems, these rely on small flush-mounted sensors expertly installed into your vehicle’s rear bumper. Once placed in reverse, the sensors alert the driver to nearby obstructions by the frequency of beeps with more frequent beeps meaning you’re closer to the object. In addition, the system includes a digital distance readout that we locate conveniently near the rear view mirror for easy viewing. We can install these sensors to look virtually undetectable and appear very much like factory-installed backup sensor systems. We can also combine backup cameras and backup sensor systems to provide the ultimate visual and audible awareness.
Backup cameras and sensors are an important addition to vehicles lacking those technologies. Children are the most vulnerable to accidental backover accidents involving a driver who didn’t see what was in the area behind them (known as the blind zone). According to KidsandCars.org, 50 children per week are backed over accidentally with two of those resulting in fatalities. In addition, over 60% of these incidents involved a larger size vehicle (truck, van or SUV). What’s worse, in over 70% of these incidents it’s a parent or close relative behind the wheel. Let Sweet Sounds install a backup camera or sensor system for you today. It may just save a life or help avoid serious injury someday.
Bluetooth Hands-Free Systems
At Sweet Sounds we offer many in-dash radios that feature robust Bluetooth hands-free functionality. This allows you to place and receive calls without taking your focus off the road. Many of those in-dash systems also work with voice features in your iPhone or Android-based smartphone, as well as support A2DP streaming audio over Bluetooth.
In addition to in-dash stereos featuring Bluetooth, we also offer solutions that can add Bluetooth to your car’s factory radio. This is useful whenever your vehicle either lacked that factory option or the factory didn’t even offer it at all. Many makes and models of foreign and domestic cars and trucks are covered, so if you have a factory radio that meets your needs except lacks Bluetooth hands-free functionality, we can add that functionality.
Blind Spot, Lane Departure and Forward Collision Warning
Some of the newest driver safety technologies involve warning the driver of departing (drifting) out of their lane, warning of cars or pedestrians in front of them to avoid collisions and even blind spot warning to safely change lanes. Sweet Sounds offers all of these incredible new technologies and we’ll be happy to introduce them when you visit us for an in-person demonstration. While many of the newest vehicles may have some of these types of safety features factory-installed, we can add them to just about any vehicle on the road. Even commercial vehicles such as delivery trucks and shuttle buses can have driver safety products installed at Sweet Sounds. We are passionate about enhancing the safety of all drivers with our products and installation expertise.
