Sweet Sounds in Mankato, Minnesota, is proud to announce that we are running our seventh-annual Coats for Kids promotion! With the amazing response we received the last six years we knew that this program was a must for the 2022 remote car starter season. Read on to find out how the donation of a new or gently used children’s coat can save you up to $50 dollars on a remote starter and make a little boy or girl from our area more comfortable this winter.
What is The Coats for Kids Promotion?
Coats for Kids was started by a fellow mobile electronics retailer in Pennsylvania.
With over a decade of success, they shared their concept with like-minded retailers around the country. If you purchase and pay for a new remote car starter between November 1 and Thanksgiving (November 24, 2022) and bring in a new or gently used children’s coat, we will discount your starter purchase by up to $50.
The coats are gathered here at Sweet Sounds, then delivered to local charities to distribute to families who need a little extra help. If you have children, you know just how fast they outgrow their clothes.
Why Do We Run This Promotion?
For the past 29 years our community has been very good to us. We wanted to give back and when we started to research the promotion a few years ago, we were shocked to find out that just over 11 percent of families in Minnesota live in poverty. Here in the Mankato area, that rate blooms to even larger. Frustrated with that information, we knew that this program would serve those who could use it best.
Over the past six years, we’ve donated hundreds and hundreds of coats worth thousands upon thousands of dollars to local charities. The coats are distributed to local families for free. We know that your generosity has helped many local children have a much more comfortable winter.
How Does the Program Work?
Come to Sweet Sounds between November 1st and 23rd, 2021, and purchase a new remote starter and installation for your car, truck or SUV.
We will discount the purchase of a Compustar PRO Series one-way remote starter 
by $25 and a Compustar PRO Series two-way remote starters by $50. In addition, we are also including our Prime 2wG15 system this year at $50 off. If you prefer to have the system installed later in the season, we ask that it be paid for in full before Thanksgiving.
We will be happy to accept purchases over the phone (507-345-8863) to qualify for the promotion, but the coat must be dropped off before Thanksgiving for the discount to be valid (so we can hand them out before it gets any colder!). The Coats for Kids promotion can’t be combined with any other offers, discounts or sale prices. We respectfully reserve the right to approve the suitability of the coat to receive the discount. Unfortunately, we can’t make any exceptions to these guidelines.
